The Hillcrest High School softball team was among 14 area teams who recently participated in the 17th annual Swing for Life softball tournament held at the Larry H. Miller Cottonwood Complex. Between the teams and other fundraising efforts, more than $10,000 was raised for cancer research, according to founder Kathy Howa, Rowland Hall-St. Marks School’s softball coach and a breast cancer survivor.
