Hillcrest Homecoming

Hillcrest students painted a giant “H” in the intersection of Hillcrest High Drive and 700 East, showing its spirit to celebrate the school’s 50th year, during its homecoming week, Sept. 12-16. Amongst the half-century activities planned, were the burning of the “H” during its pep rally, an appearance by the school’s first student body president and former ABA player Hal Hale, and a homecoming parade from Midvalley Elementary to the Hillcrest parking lot, followed by a tailgate party. Although rain fell Friday, Sept. 16, it didn’t dampen the spirits of fans as they watched their football team play Herriman High. Photo provided by Hillcrest Assistant Principal Brenda McCann.
