Midvale Arts Council seeking actors for summer play

The Midvale Arts Council is pleased to announce auditions for "All Shook Up," a musical inspired by and featuring the songs of Elvis Presley. Auditions will be held Saturday May 14 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Midvale Performing Arts Center, 695 West Center Street (7720 South).

Auditioners should come prepared with 16-24 bars of an upbeat song. A pianist will be provided. Please bring piano music, no prerecorded music or a capella. Auditioners may be asked to read from the script and learn a short dance. "All Shook Up" features many roles for varying ethnic backgrounds and all ages are encouraged to audition. All roles are open. Callbacks are scheduled for Saturday May 21 from noon to 3 p.m., by invitation only.

Midvale Arts Council's production of "All Shook Up" is being directed/choreographed by Karen Chatterton, with assistant direction/choreography by Stephanie Maag, and music direction by Patricia Rogers. The performance dates are July 15-22 on Midvale's Outdoor Stage in the Park.
